Crazy for Double Zip Wallets

When you work at Fancy Tiger, one thing you learn is that crafting is totally infectious! If one person makes something, everybody else gets excited and wants to make one for themselves too. That was exactly the case with these adorable Double Zip Wallets that Caitlin, Kelly and I made from Handmade Style!

There are two things that I absolutely love about this pattern. The first thing is how versatile it is. We all used very different types of fabric and all of our wallets came out different and amazing. You basically can't go wrong with any fabric choice you make. The second this I love is how quick it makes up. We all put this together in an afternoon! You can't get much more satisfying than that. We all did have a bit of trouble understanding exactly what to do when flipping the fabric before sewing it all together, but if you just reach between the exterior and lining pieces and pull both lining pieces through you should be all set. You will know you have the right setup because the lining pieces will be right sides together on one side of the zippers and the exterior pieces will be right sides together on the other side of the zippers.

The new Noodlehead book has been a huge staff favorite. We have all been drooling over the amazing projects and personally I want to make every single thing in it. In fact, Caitlin already made the amazing makeup travel case from the book and the results were really fantastic. When I was looking for my next project, I knew I wanted to make something from Handmade Style and when I was flipping through the pages this cute little wallet jumped out at me. Quick, fun, and with an amazing and super functional end product.

Materials: 1/3 yards Saaristo Green, 1/2 yard Yarn Dyed Essex in Black, 1/3 yards American Made Brand Cotton in Olive, 2 - 7" zippers, 1- magnetic snap (zippers and snap available in store)
Modifications: Lengthened the card slot to hold 6 credit cards instead of 3

Kelly's Wallet

Materials: 1/3 yards Lucky Mustard, 1/3 yard Cirrus Solids in Turquoise, 1/2 yard Yarn Dyed Essex in Black, 2 - 7" zippers, 1- magnetic snap (zippers and snap available in store)
Modifications: Added a small tab to the money pocket
