Beginner: No experience necessary — we’ll teach you everything!
Beginner Plus: You have taken a 101 class or equivalent. You are familiar with threading your machine or know basic knit or crochet stitches.
Intermediate: You’ve got a few projects under your belt. You’ve made a few things and are looking to increase your knowledge.
Advanced: You know quite a bit about your chosen craft and you’re ready to take it to the next level.

Join Jennifer Wiese of Workroom Social for a 2-day Sewing Intensive! Learn complex sewing techniques and concepts to take your sewing from good to great. Students will learn to sew a variety of challenging methods by creating technique samples. Students will see examples of each method in real clothes and discuss when and how they can use these techniques in sewing patterns. Students will create a resource notebook to take home for future reference.In class, you will learn:
About the Materials:Your class fee includes 16 hours of instruction, sewing pattern, handouts and supporting materials, use of sewing machines and basics notions, lunch on both days of the workshop, and water and snacks throughout the weekend. If you prefer to work on your own sewing machine, you are welcome to bring it. Students are responsible for purchasing their own supplies. Due to the unique nature of this course, students are required to purchase a supply kit directly from Workroom Social prior to class at a special student rate. Your email will be shared with the instructor upon registration. An additional supply list will be emailed prior to class.

Jennifer Wiese is founder of Workroom Social, a sewing studio based in Brooklyn, New York. Jennifer specializes in teaching adults how to sew clothes that fit both their individual styles and their unique body shapes and sizes. She teaches sewing techniques that make clothing construction easy and produce beautiful results. Jennifer believes that every woman can lead a joyful, creative, and confident life and knows that sewing your own clothes (and wearing those you-made clothes) is a surefire way to find joy, creativity, and confidence every day.
