Goodbye, Sailor! Hello, Cordyline!
We have been working hard to revamp our very first sewing pattern, the Sailor Top—improving fit, drafting a more inclusive size range, and adding the most requested update: a long sleeve option. Now it's time to say hello to the brand new, yet very familiar, Cordyline sewing pattern!
The Cordyline pattern is a raglan sleeve top with gathered neckline & faced yoke. Its simple construction is easy to wear & easy to sew.
Cordyline is our favorite go-to garment for pairing with fun cotton prints. Not many garment patterns work nicely with quilting-weight cotton, but Cordyline works fantastically!

For a simpler style, it is lovely in solid linen or chambray, or sewn in a luxurious silk noil or rayon. This versatile pattern works with so many fabrics!
The re-released Cordyline now goes up to a 4x or 56” bust and has improved fit in the arms and yoke. We’re excited to offer this popular pattern to the world again. Welcome, Cordyline!

Hi Stacy,
Thank you for your comment! The new pattern does not make adjustments for the neckband. However, we’d suggested shortening the circumstance of the neckband as a trick to help not make it as wide. This will make the top slightly more gathered at the neckline.
At this time we are not offering any discounts for the Cordyline pattern.
Thanks!
Bethany

I bought the Sailor Top years ago and have always wanted a way to make the neckline to not be so wide. It fits in the bust but the I have trouble with my bra straps showing. Does the new pattern make adjustments for the neckband? Also, if you bought the first pattern are there any discounts for buying the new one? Thanks so much.
